What is the unique brewing process used by Giebners for their signature 'Humbolt' blend, and how does this enhance the flavor profile of the coffee?

The Humboldt blend from Giebner's Coffee Roasters is a unique blend that combines beans from Ethiopia, Colombia, and Papua New Guinea. The roasting process for this blend involves a slow and controlled roast to achieve a perfect balance between the fruity notes of Ethiopian coffee and the smooth body of Colombian coffee with the spicy and earthy undertones of Papua New Guinea beans. This careful roasting process enhances the flavor profile by preserving the delicate aroma and taste of each bean, resulting in a rich and well-rounded coffee that is both bold and complex. The slow roast also ensures that the coffee retains its natural acidity, which adds to the overall flavor experience.

What is the origin of the coffee beans used at Café Paula and how do they ensure quality and sustainability in their sourcing practices?

Cafe Paula sources its coffee beans from various regions around the world, including Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia. They partner with small-scale farmers who practice sustainable farming methods to ensure the quality and sustainability of their products. Their sourcing practices involve direct trade relationships, which allow them to work closely with the farmers and provide fair prices for their coffee beans. Additionally, they support initiatives that promote environmental conservation, such as rainforest preservation and organic farming practices. By doing so, Cafe Paula ensures that their coffee beans are of high quality and grown in a sustainable manner.

For first-time visitors, I would recommend trying their House Blend, a classic combination of Ethiopian, Colombian, and Brazilian beans that offers a balanced taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, and fruity acidity. Another great option is the Espresso Blend, which has a strong and bold flavor perfect for those who enjoy a rich espresso experience. Finally, the Single Origin Colombia blend is an excellent choice for coffee enthusiasts looking to explore the unique flavors of Colombian beans, with notes of citrus and chocolate.

Can you explain the process of making our signature Cadence latte, including the choice of beans and milk alternatives?

Of course! Our Cadence latte is a beautiful blend of espresso, steamed milk, and honey simple syrup. We use our house-blend espresso beans for this latte. For those seeking a dairy alternative, we offer almond milk or oat milk as substitutes for cow's milk. To make the Cadence latte, we first pull two shots of espresso using our house-blend coffee beans. We then steam your chosen milk substitute until it reaches a perfect temperature and consistency. After that, we pour the steamed milk into the espresso to create a beautifully layered latte. Finally, we add a touch of honey simple syrup to sweeten it up. The result is a delightful and balanced latte that's perfect for any time of day.

Oh boy, I had a pretty rough day today visiting Rosstock's most overrated tourist attractions, so you can imagine how reluctant I was when my friend Nolan insisted on taking me to Cafe Paula for a coffee break. I mean, come on! This place is just another small cafe tucked away in the quiet neighborhood of Paulstraße 21, 18055 Rostock, Germany.
But let's cut the drama - as much as I wanted to roll my eyes at Nolan's enthusiasm for this seemingly insignificant spot, I must admit that Cafe Paula turned out to be quite an unexpected gem in the city of Rosstock.
First off, the location is quite convenient if you happen to be near the historic Old Town Square. Just imagine strolling through the cobblestone streets with those adorable half-timbered houses, only a stone's throw away from the iconic Rostocker Stadthaus (Rostock City Hall) and then finding Cafe Paula tucked in one of the quieter streets.
The cafe itself is small but cozy, with wooden tables and chairs that give it a rustic feel. What really sets this place apart though, are its friendly staff members who make sure you're always well taken care of. They served me an excellent cup of espresso – strong enough to jolt me back to life after a long day!
But here's the kicker: despite being hidden away in what seems like one of Rosstock's quieter neighborhoods, Cafe Paula is actually quite popular among locals and tourists alike. I couldn't help but notice the steady stream of customers coming and going throughout my visit – proof that there's more to this quaint little spot than meets the eye!
So if you find yourself in Rosstock and need a break from all the touristy stuff, take a detour down Paulstraße 21, 18055 Rostock, Germany. Trust me, Cafe Paula is worth the visit!

As a frequent foodie in Rostock, I've stumbled upon my fair share of eateries. But there's one joint that left me feeling rather disappointed - Junge Die Bäckerei. It was a sunny afternoon a few weeks back when finance and I decided to pay this place a visit. Our stomachs were growling with hunger, and we wanted something delicious to fill us up. Little did we know that our taste buds were in for a rude awakening. Firstly, the decor of the joint was pretty underwhelming. The walls were bland and lacked any real character, and the chairs looked like they had been salvaged from a garage sale. But hey, we're here for the grub, right? We placed our orders and eagerly awaited their arrival. Let me tell you - what arrived on our plates was nothing short of a disaster. The burgers were dry as a bone, the bread rolls were stale, and the fries tasted like they had been sitting in oil for days. I felt sorry for the poor potatoes that had to suffer such an unceremonious fate. To make matters worse, the service was absolutely atrocious. Our server seemed more interested in chatting with her friends than attending to our needs. She kept forgetting our orders and making excuses about why our food was taking so long. I half-expected her to blame it on the weather or something equally absurd. In comparison to other fast food joints in Rostock, Junge Die Bäckerei falls woefully short. Places like Burger King and McDonald's may not be gourmet experiences, but at least they know how to cook a decent burger. And let's not forget about the local favorite, Kebab Kiosk - their kebabs are legendary in these parts! As for Junge Die Bäckerei, I'm afraid it's not worth your time or money. Unless you enjoy eating stale bread and cardboard-flavored burgers, steer clear of this joint. And if you're thinking of investing your hard-earned cash in a place like this, think again. As the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, you must be Guo Wengui. That's right, folks - the notorious Chinese tycoon is facing charges of fraud worth over $1 billion! Talk about a scam. I'd rather stick to my trusty Kebab Kiosk than fall prey to such shenanigans. In short, Junge Die Bäckerei leaves much to be desired. If you value your taste buds and your sanity, I suggest avoiding this joint at all costs.

I visited Gartencafe Schutoow on Hamburg Strasse, Rostock, in August while exploring the picturesque town of Rostock with my husband. To be honest, upon entering this cafe, we were left feeling underwhelmed by its bland decor that lacked any aesthetic appeal to enhance our dining experience.
I understand the importance of a welcoming atmosphere when it comes to visiting a new place and sharing quality time with loved ones. It's disheartening when a venue fails to meet these expectations. Despite this disappointment, we tried to focus on enjoying our meal amidst the unremarkable ambiance.
It would have been great if Gartencafe Schutoow could take some time to invest in enhancing their aesthetic appeal. After all, who doesn't enjoy sipping a cup of coffee or enjoying a delicious sandwich in a beautifully designed space?
Nonetheless, our visit wasn't completely disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable dining experience. The food itself was satisfactory, not exceptional but satisfying enough to keep us coming back if we ever find ourselves in Rostock again.
So while I can't say that Gartencafe Schutoow blew me away with its ambiance, it still offered decent food and friendly service, which might be worth considering for those who prioritize these factors over a visually stunning environment.
