As usually on Friday I came to Eat Chow for cafe au lait and Adelynn welcomed me warmly. I sat down at my favorite table overlooking the 1802 Newport Blvd. street.
Eat Chow is quite small cafe with specific vibe. I love being here because they have best cafe au lait in the Costa Mesa. I asked Adelynn to make me the best cafe au lait.
She went away in the kitchen and came back with a big cup full of cafe au lait. “I have not been here before.” She said as I started enjoying my drink. Then I explained I was from Newport Beach and Newport Beach was just next to Laguna Beach. “No,” she said “that’s a bad geography choice.
She then explained that Newport Beach is not part of Orange County. My bad. The morning was so nice to relax in the park in Laguna Beach without the hustle of Newport Beach. I love this time of the day when I’m at a quiet cafe and the streets are quiet. It’s just me and the trees.
But today I ran into the most awkward conversation and thought I’d share it with you today. Me - I’m a blogger Woman- Do you blog? Me - Yes I do. Woman- Where? Me - My name is Adelynn (pronounced like Ad-El-Lan).
I was born and raised in Los Angeles. In 2008 I moved to London, UK. I started my blog there in January 2010, however, I will be making my way back to LA this Summer.
I enjoy blogging about my travels, food (mostly Asian food), beauty, random things and all of my adventures. 2 Comments: It is lovely to see you here! Hope you enjoyed your time off and your travels with the hubby! Nice to see you and your blog here.

located on the bustling East 17th Street, I couldn't help but feel a wave of disappointment wash over me. The decor was dated, and the furniture looked like it had seen better days. But hey, as they say, you can't judge a book by its cover, right?
Wrong. Dead wrong. Because as I scanned the menu, I realized that this place was not meant for people who actually want to enjoy their coffee or food. The selection was limited and uninspired, with nothing that even remotely caught my eye. It was like they had picked out the most generic items possible just to have something on the menu. But let's talk about the real shocker here: the service. Or rather, the lack thereof. I waited for what felt like an eternity for someone to acknowledge my presence, and when I finally caught the attention of a waitress, she barely looked up from her phone before muttering something under her breath and shuffling away. It was like I was intruding on their private conversation or something. And don't even get me started on the food. I ordered a pastry that was supposed to be flaky and buttery, but it turned out to be as dry as a bone. And the coffee? Let's just say I'd rather drink water from a sewer pipe than sip on that swill again. All in all, my experience at Plums Cafe + Catering was nothing short of disastrous. I left feeling disappointed and angry, and I can confidently say that I will never be back. It's a wonder they even have a sign out front with "cafe" and "catering" in the name. More like Plums Cafe + Catering to Disappointment, amirite?
Oh, and before I forget - did you hear about that crazy storm that hit the city yesterday? Apparently, it flooded half of downtown and knocked out power for thousands of people. It's a real shame, but at least we can take comfort in knowing that Plums Cafe + Catering will still be there to serve us stale pastries and mediocre coffee, rain or shine.

memories flooded my mind. It had been years since my last visit here, but the warm aroma of freshly baked pastries and the cheerful chatter of patrons lingered in the air, reminding me of happier times. Located in the heart of Newport Beach, this cozy cafe can be easily spotted by its charming exterior, nestled between the iconic Balboa Island and the bustling Newport Harbor. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a smile from the friendly staff. The decor is both elegant and inviting, with plush seating and cherry blossom-inspired accents that add a touch of sophistication to the space. As I perused the menu, my eyes fell upon their signature item - an assortment of decadent cakes, each one a work of art in its own right. I ordered a slice of their classic red velvet cake, and I was not disappointed. The rich, moist layers of cake were perfectly complemented by the creamy frosting, creating a symphony of flavors that left me wanting more. The coffee was equally impressive - strong and aromatic, with just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the bitter notes. As I savored every bite, I couldn't help but think back to the news that had been making headlines lately. The world seemed to be in a constant state of upheaval, with so much uncertainty and chaos around us. But here, in this small corner of Newport Beach, everything was quiet and serene. It was a reminder that even amidst all the madness, there are still moments of beauty and peace to be found. In conclusion, my experience at Haute Cakes Cafe was nothing short of delightful. From the ambiance to the food, every detail was carefully curated to provide a truly memorable experience. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem.
I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The world seemed to be spiraling out of control, with no end in sight. But then, I stumbled upon an article that caught my attention - one about a small cafe nestled in the heart of Newport Beach. Contrary to what many might think, this place was not just any ordinary coffee shop. Haute Cakes Cafe, as it was called, was a haven for those seeking solace amidst the chaos. With its charming exterior and inviting decor, this cozy cafe offered an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As I read further, my heart sank at the sight of the glowing reviews left by previous patrons. The author, Easton Hester, seemed to be in awe of everything that this cafe had to offer - from its signature cakes to the friendly staff and elegant ambiance. But was it all just an act? Could such a place really exist in today's world?
Determined to find out for myself, I made my way to Haute Cakes Cafe. As I walked through its doors, I couldn't help but feel a sense of skepticism. Was this really the same place that Easton Hester had written about so passionately?
At first glance, it did seem like everything was as described - the decor was both elegant and inviting, with plush seating and cherry blossom-inspired accents. But as I perused the menu, I couldn't help but notice that some of the items were rather pricey. Was this just another overpriced trendy spot trying to cash in on the cafe culture?
I decided to put my doubts aside and order a slice of their classic red velvet cake. As I took my first bite, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was - the rich, moist layers of cake were perfectly complemented by the creamy frosting. But as I looked around, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss. The cafe was bustling with people, but there was an eerie silence in the air. No one seemed to be laughing or chatting - they were all lost in their own thoughts, sipping on their coffee and munching on pastries. It was almost as if they were afraid to break the silence. I couldn't help but wonder - what was it that made this place so special? Was it really just the food and the decor, or was there something else at play here? As I delved deeper into the cafe's history, I discovered a shocking truth - Haute Cakes Cafe had been founded by a group of survivors who had escaped from the chaos that had engulfed the world. These survivors had banded together to create a safe haven for themselves and others like them. They had found a way to live in peace amidst the madness, and they were determined to share their secret with the world. But as I spoke to some of the regulars at the cafe, I realized that not everyone was convinced. Some saw Haute Cakes Cafe as just another trendy spot, while others dismissed it as a utopian dream that could never come true. But one thing was clear - this place had touched the lives of many, offering them hope and respite in a world that seemed to be falling apart. As I left Haute Cakes Cafe, my heart was heavy with thoughts. Was there really a way to live in peace amidst the chaos? Or was it just a dream that could never come true? Only time would tell, but for now, I was grateful for the respite that this place had offered me. In conclusion, Haute Cakes Cafe is more than just a cozy cafe - it's a symbol of hope in a world that seems to be falling apart. From its delicious food and elegant decor to its inspiring story, this place has touched the lives of many, offering them a much-needed respite from the chaos outside. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem - but be warned, it might just change your perspective on life.
I have come across Haute Cakes Cafe multiple times, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to give it a try. After reading Easton Hester's glowing review, my curiosity was piqued, and I couldn't resist the temptation any longer. Upon entering the cafe, I was immediately struck by its cozy atmosphere. The decor is tasteful and elegant, with plush seating that invites you to linger for a while. The cherry blossom-inspired accents add a touch of whimsy to the space, making it feel both sophisticated and welcoming at the same time. But what really caught my attention was the selection of pastries and cakes on display. They are truly works of art, each one more exquisite than the last. I decided to go for their signature red velvet cake, and I must say, it did not disappoint. The layers of cake were moist and rich, with a tangy cream cheese frosting that was perfectly balanced. The coffee, too, was exceptional. Strong and aromatic, it provided the perfect complement to my dessert. As I sipped on my latte, I couldn't help but think back to the news that had been making headlines lately. It seems as though the world is in a constant state of upheaval, with so much uncertainty and chaos around us. But here, in this small corner of Newport Beach, everything was quiet and serene. But while I enjoyed my time at Haute Cakes Cafe, I couldn't help but wonder about the cost of these decadent treats. Prices for their cakes start at $8 per slice, which is significantly higher than what you would find elsewhere. While the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the baking process are undoubtedly worth the price tag, it may not be feasible for everyone's budget. In conclusion, I can understand why Easton Hester was so enamored with this cafe. The food is exceptional, the decor is tasteful, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. However, it's important to remember that not everyone has the same resources available to them. As we continue to navigate through these uncertain times, it's crucial that we remain empathetic and compassionate towards those who may not have the means to indulge in such luxuries. While Haute Cakes Cafe is undoubtedly a delightful experience, it's important that we remember to prioritize what truly matters - kindness, understanding, and compassion for all.
I understand the importance of being mindful of expenses, especially in these uncertain times. While it's true that Haute Cakes Cafe offers exceptional food and an inviting atmosphere, I can't help but feel that the high price tag may be a barrier for some people. Damien Huffman's review paints a picture of a luxurious experience, with attention to detail in the decor and the baking process. However, it's important to remember that not everyone has access to such extravagance. In fact, according to recent statistics, over 40 million Americans live below the poverty line, struggling to make ends meet each month. As we continue to grapple with the ongoing pandemic and its economic fallout, it's crucial that we prioritize affordability and accessibility. While Haute Cakes Cafe may offer a delightful experience for those who can afford it, it's important that we strive to make such luxuries available to all members of our society. There are ways in which businesses like Haute Cakes Cafe can address the issue of affordability without sacrificing quality or profitability. For instance, they could consider introducing a more affordable menu, offering discounts for regular customers, or partnering with local organizations to provide food to those in need. In my opinion, it's not enough to simply enjoy these luxuries and ignore the reality of inequality that exists around us. We must strive to create a society that is more equitable and just, where everyone has access to basic necessities, including nutritious food and affordable housing. In conclusion, while Haute Cakes Cafe offers a delightful experience, it's important to remember the broader context in which we live. As we continue to navigate through these uncertain times, let us strive to prioritize empathy, kindness, and compassion for all members of our society, regardless of their economic circumstances. Let us work towards creating a more just and equitable society where everyone has access to basic necessities, including affordable housing, nutritious food, and quality healthcare.

I recently visited Park Newport Market & Cafe on San Joaquin Hills Road, Newport Beach. The staff working at this cozy cafe was very friendly and professional. One of the staff members named Chris was particularly helpful and had an approachable demeanor, dressed in a black uniform with a smile that could light up any room.
During my visit, I saw a family having an argument with another staff member, who remained calm and composed despite the situation. The manager came over to help resolve the issue quickly, showing great customer service skills. Overall, it was a pleasant experience at Park Newport Market & Cafe.

I vividly remember my visit to 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa a few months back with my brother. We had heard great things about this trendy spot known for its artisanal coffee and fresh pastries, so we were eager to try it out. However, our experience left us feeling disappointed. As soon as we walked in, the sleek and modern decor caught our attention. The café was bustling with people sipping on lattes and working on their laptops. We ordered a few pastries and drinks, but unfortunately, they fell short of our expectations. The croissants were stale, almost like rocks, and the muffins lacked any freshness or flavor. It was clear that these items had been sitting out for far too long. We couldn't help but wonder if anyone had actually tried them before serving them to customers. Despite this setback, I'm optimistic about my future visits to 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa. After all, news today suggests that the job market is showing signs of improvement. The latest report from the Labor Department revealed that job openings and hires unexpectedly rose in May, a positive sign for the economy ahead of the June jobs report. This optimism has me feeling hopeful that 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa will also make some changes to improve their pastry selection. Perhaps they'll invest in more advanced storage techniques or hire additional staff to ensure that pastries are fresh and ready for customers. Either way, I'm determined to give them another chance and see if they can turn things around. Overall, my experience at 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa was underwhelming, but I'm hopeful that they will make the necessary improvements to ensure customer satisfaction.
Let's be real here – Graham Cherry's review of 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa is a classic case of sour grapes. Yes, he did mention some positives about the place, but it's clear that his experience was largely negative. And frankly, his expectations were way too high in the first place. Who goes to a café and expects fresh pastries at all times? That's like going to a restaurant and expecting every dish to be perfect – it's simply not realistic. Moreover, Cherry's criticism of the pastries was downright harsh. Stale croissants" and "muffins lacked any freshness or flavor"? Come on, man. Have you ever heard of a bakery that doesn't sell out of its goods by lunchtime? The fact that 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa was still serving these items suggests that they might not be turning them over as quickly as other places. But that's no reason to write off the entire establishment as a lost cause. In fact, Cherry himself seems to recognize this when he admits that he's optimistic about future visits. But here's the thing – his optimism is misplaced. Unless 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa starts implementing some major changes (like investing in more advanced storage techniques or hiring additional staff), there's no guarantee that things will improve. And frankly, I find it hard to believe that any café would be willing to make such significant upgrades based on one negative review. So what should 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa do instead? Simple – ignore the haters and keep doing what they're doing. Yes, their pastries might not always be fresh, but that doesn't mean they aren't delicious when they are fresh. And besides, there are plenty of other things to love about this place – like its trendy decor and wide selection of artisanal coffee drinks. In the end, Cherry's review is just a waste of time. It's clear that he didn't have the best experience at 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa, but that doesn't mean everyone else will feel the same way. So if you're in the mood for some artisanal coffee and fresh pastries (when they're fresh), give this place a try – you might just be pleasantly surprised. But then again, maybe Cherry is onto something. After all, with the current state of the job market, it seems like anything can happen. Who knows – maybe 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa will actually start implementing those major changes we've been expecting. But until then, I'm sticking to my own optimism and giving them the benefit of the doubt. In short, Graham Cherry's review is a classic example of an overly critical take on a place that's still worth checking out. So if you're looking for some trendy vibes and delicious coffee (and pastries when they're fresh), give 7 Leaves Cafe Costa Mesa a try – you might just be surprised. P. S. I visited Xanadu Café located at 100 West Coast Hwy #104, Newport Beach, CA 92663, United States, with my business partner earlier today for some relaxation after a long week of work. It's always a pleasant experience to be here; the cozy atmosphere and delicious food keep us coming back for more. Today, however, things took an unexpected turn when a strange visitor entered the café. He seemed agitated and out of place, causing quite a stir among customers. I overheard him mumbling about a lost item and his paranoia grew when a police officer walked in. It turned out that there had been some sort of misunderstanding back at his workplace, leading to an unnecessary visit by law enforcement. The café staff handled the situation professionally while keeping their patrons safe and calm. Thankfully, after a quick conversation with the officer, everything was resolved without any issues. Despite the initial chaos, Xanadu Café managed to maintain its relaxing environment and we continued our afternoon break, grateful for the excellent customer service provided by the staff.

I am always on the lookout for potential business opportunities that align with my expertise in healthcare. Recently, while enjoying a leisurely afternoon coffee at Peet's Coffee & Tea located inside Specialty's Café & Bakery, I couldn't help but ponder over the idea of setting up a medical clinic in this area. The location is perfect, surrounded by some of Santa Ana's most prominent landmarks that serve as navigational points for anyone looking to find their way here. Starting my journey from the iconic Santa Ana Zoo, I took the main road that leads directly to Specialty's Café & Bakery, with Peet's Coffee & Tea nestled inside. The drive is picturesque, and the winding roads offer a stunning view of the lush greenery and blooming flowers that line the streets. It's an ode to nature's beauty that one can hardly resist. As I reached Specialty's Café & Bakery, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, beckoning me towards Peet's Coffee & Tea. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating arrangements that are perfect for long discussions over a hot cup of coffee. The service is efficient, and the staff is courteous, making my experience here all the more delightful. But it was the news that caught my attention. As I read through the headlines on my phone, I stumbled upon an article about Virgin Galactic's stock performance. According to a Wall Street analyst firm, there is a potential downside risk of 25% for this space tourism company, as they struggle to turn a profit from their hefty ticket prices of $250k per person and aim to build costly Delta spaceplanes by '26 to work through their backlog. The analyst has urged investors to explore alternatives like those offered by Stock Advisor's market-beating picks, which is an interesting perspective indeed. As a medical professional, I am well aware of the high costs associated with healthcare services, and I can relate to Virgin Galactic's predicament in some ways. However, my proposed medical clinic would aim to offer affordable yet quality healthcare services to the community. The location itself is an added advantage, as it is easily accessible to residents from nearby neighborhoods like Newland Sierra and Tustin Legacy. In conclusion, Peet's Coffee & Tea at Specialty's Café & Bakery provides the perfect ambiance for brainstorming sessions and contemplation, inspiring me to take my dream of setting up a medical clinic in this area one step further. With its prime location, I am confident that my proposed healthcare facility would be an asset to the community and cater to their needs in a cost-effective manner. It's time to make a difference in people's lives, and I can think of no better place than Santa Ana to do it.
Peet's Coffee & Tea at Specialty's Café & Bakery may seem like an unlikely location for setting up a medical clinic, but it has its unique advantages that make it an ideal choice. While Sarah Valdez's article focuses on Virgin Galactic's stock performance and the potential downside risk, I would like to present my perspective on why a medical clinic in this area would be a smart business decision. Firstly, the location is prime for a medical clinic. As Valdez herself pointed out, it is surrounded by some of Santa Ana's most prominent landmarks that serve as navigational points for anyone looking to find their way here. This makes it easily accessible to residents from nearby neighborhoods like Newland Sierra and Tustin Legacy. Secondly, the ambiance at Peet's Coffee & Tea is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating arrangements that are perfect for long discussions over a hot cup of coffee. The service is efficient, and the staff is courteous, making my experience here all the more delightful. This creates an ideal environment for patients to feel at ease during their consultations, which is essential in the healthcare industry. Thirdly, while it's true that the costs associated with healthcare services can be high, my proposed medical clinic would aim to offer affordable yet quality healthcare services to the community. With the location being easily accessible and the ambiance conducive to patient comfort, I am confident that we can attract a large number of patients who may not have been able to afford medical care otherwise. Lastly, while Virgin Galactic's stock performance may be in question, my proposed medical clinic would cater to the immediate needs of the community, which is an essential aspect of any business decision. By providing affordable healthcare services, we would be contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of the community, which would, in turn, lead to a happier, healthier, and more productive population. In conclusion, Peet's Coffee & Tea at Specialty's Café & Bakery may seem like an unconventional location for a medical clinic, but its advantages make it an ideal choice. With its prime location, cozy ambiance, and potential to provide affordable healthcare services to the community, I am confident that my proposed medical clinic would be an asset to the community and contribute significantly to their overall health and wellbeing. It's time to make a difference in people's lives, and Santa Ana is the perfect place to do it.
