Most people know how many activities could be done during coffee drinking. Not only talking but also e-shopping are very popular.
Cupcakes and a nice coffee. A great place to go if you like a good breakfast. This is a beautiful and elegant coffee shop located by the Pélade. I went in for the espresso and the staff was friendly and helpful.
I have heard many good things about the coffee and the owners are very friendly (as you would expect of a coffee shop!) I enjoyed the espresso and the cupcakes were excellent. The ambiance is great too, it is a nice space. The owner is the nicest woman you'll ever meet, the staff was very accommodating! I was looking for a decent place to have a good coffee after my family moved to Caen last year. A great place to get to know the locals, go with a few coworkers for a coffee, and get ready for a great day.
The owner was the best (not to mention his wife is super nice and the drinks are delicious...you can tell he knows he can count on them). My favorite is the frappuccino with homemade espresso milk (just like a french bar, they use a milk made to order for espresso and it tastes way better than the normal homemade.) It's pretty much your standard coffee shop with the usual drinks and service!
But don't be deceived by the location - it's far from the center of town as it is closer to some of the larger restaurants and bars. It's a little hidden, and I like the privacy! I've been to a lot of great coffee shops in the US, but the one I would most consider visiting, is a little different from any others I've been to. I don't think I've been to the kind of place where the coffee is the star, but I do know from personal experience that I've had it pretty bad at times. I'm a coffee connoisseur, so even though I'm an occasional coffee drinker.

Last year, my sister and I spent a memorable two weeks in beautiful Caen, France. Being first-time travelers, we had our fair share of challenges but we also made many new discoveries. One place that left us both quite disillusioned was the Café de Caen at 90 Boulevard Maréchal Leclerc.
As first-time visitors in France, we were excited to try out French food and beverages. Having heard about the Café de Caen's reputation, we thought we would have an exceptional experience. Little did we know that our visit there would leave us feeling a little shortchanged. The café is located right at the heart of town, close to all major tourist attractions, making it an ideal place for visitors looking for a break from sightseeing or just wanting to people-watch.
The exterior of Café de Caen exudes an air of sophistication and elegance that beckons you inside. However, once we stepped in, the atmosphere wasn't exactly what we expected. The place was cramped and crowded, making it difficult for us to find a seat. We had to wait for almost twenty minutes just to get a table. It didn't help matters that the service was painfully slow.
However, all these minor inconveniences would have been forgiven if only the prices were fair. But unfortunately, they weren’t. The items on their menu seemed overpriced especially when we compared it with other local restaurants. For instance, we paid €12 for a plain croissant that you could easily get for less than half the price in any local bakery. Similarly, our café au lait was priced at €4, while a similar serving in a nearby café cost only €2.50.
The food itself left much to be desired. My sister ordered a salad with grilled chicken while I opted for a club sandwich. While the presentation was commendable, the taste was disappointing. The chicken in my sister's salad tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day long. Mine wasn’t any better - the bread of the club sandwich was soggy and the ingredients tasted bland.
I understand that being centrally located comes at a premium, but these prices were ridiculous considering the quality of service and food we received. At the end of our meal, when the bill arrived, it felt like an insult to our intelligence. We felt cheated and robbed, especially after having had such high hopes for this café based on its reputation.
In conclusion, despite its prime location and charming exterior, Café de Caen falls short in delivering a satisfying dining experience. It's not just about the food or the service; it’s also about value for money. And in this regard, Café de Caen fails miserably. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience while visiting Caen. Instead, they should look elsewhere where they can get better quality and more value for their hard-earned money.

France, my heart sank as I realized I had no idea where La Tortue Cafe was located. My map app on my phone was useless without an internet connection, and I found myself wandering aimlessly through the streets, hoping to stumble upon the elusive cafe. Despite my initial despair, I refused to give up. I spotted a group of locals chatting animatedly in front of a nearby bakery and mustered up the courage to ask for directions. To my surprise, they responded with a mix of French and English, eagerly pointing me in the right direction. As I finally stumbled upon La Tortue Cafe, my spirits lifted. The cafe was nestled in a quaint little alleyway, hidden from view by the towering buildings that surrounded it. As I stepped inside, the smell of freshly brewed coffee and warm croissants enveloped me, instantly transporting me to a state of blissful contentment. The architecture of Caen was truly breathtaking. The surrounding streets were filled with charming cobblestone alleys and picturesque half-timbered houses that seemed straight out of a fairy tale. It was easy to forget the hustle and bustle of modern life as I meandered through the winding streets, taking in the sights and sounds of this historic town. But it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. As I settled into my seat at La Tortue Cafe with a steaming cup of espresso, I couldn't help but feel a sense of despair as I heard the news on the radio. The ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel had caused oil prices to spike yet again, with no clear resolution in sight. As economic worries trumped Middle East tensions, it was easy to feel overwhelmed by a sense of hopelessness. But for a moment, at least, I could escape the chaos of the outside world and immerse myself in the peaceful ambiance of this charming little cafe. La Tortue Cafe may be small, but its warm atmosphere and delectable treats make it a true gem in the heart of Caen.

Dear fellow coffee lovers, I am thrilled to share my recent experience at Café Resto l'Imprimerie - a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Paris. In March, my brother and I decided to pay this cozy establishment a visit, eagerly anticipating a delightful cup of joe. Little did we know that our adventure would be riddled with ups and downs!
First things first - the atmosphere at Café Resto l'Imprimerie is simply irresistible. The decor exudes a rustic charm, reminiscent of old-time printing presses. The walls are adorned with vintage typefaces and antique printing equipment that transport you back in time. It's like stepping into a scene from a classic detective novel!
But alas, our excitement was short-lived as we faced a major hurdle - the Wi-Fi connection. In this digital age, a strong internet connection is an absolute must, and Café Resto l'Imprimerie failed to deliver. My brother and I were left fuming with frustration as we struggled to load our emails and stream videos. It was like being transported back to the early 2000s!
Despite this minor setback, we decided to focus on the positives - the coffee, that is. The aroma alone was enough to send shivers down our spines. And when the barista handed us our steaming cups of joe, we knew we were in for a treat. Each sip was rich and robust, with notes of chocolate and caramel that left us wanting more. It's safe to say that Café Resto l'Imprimerie knows how to brew the perfect cup!
As we savored our coffee, we couldn't help but notice the array of delicious pastries on display. From flaky croissants to decadent pain au chocolat, every pastry was a work of art. We indulged in a few of these delicacies and were blown away by their texture and taste. The buttery croissant practically melted in our mouths, while the pain au chocolat was pure chocolate heaven!
But that's not all - Café Resto l'Imprimerie has another surprise in store for you. Get ready to embark on a cosmic journey at Celestial Park, the first realm unveiled by Universal's Epic Universe set to launch in 2025. Featuring a lush green world and powered by Chronos machine, attractions such as dual-launch Starfall Racers coaster and celestial Carousel await, with Helios Grand Hotel completing the immersive lineup. You'll be transported to another world altogether - all while enjoying a cup of coffee at Café Resto l'Imprimerie!
In conclusion, my experience at Café Resto l'Imprimerie was a mixed bag. The atmosphere and coffee were outstanding, but the Wi-Fi connection left much to be desired. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hidden gem to all coffee connoisseurs out there.
Dear fellow coffee enthusiasts,
I must admit that my recent visit to Café Resto l'Imprimerie was not entirely flawless, as highlighted by the review left by Adam. While I agree with his praise for the cozy atmosphere and exceptional coffee, I have a few reservations about some aspects of this establishment. Firstly, I too encountered Wi-Fi issues during my stay. Granted, in today's digital age, a reliable internet connection is essential, and Café Resto l'Imprimerie fell short in this regard. This inconvenience left me feeling frustrated and unable to carry out certain tasks that required an online connection. Moreover, I feel that the review by Adam failed to address the pricing of the items on offer. While the coffee was undoubtedly delicious, it came at a premium price point compared to other cafes in the area. This discrepancy might be a deal-breaker for some, especially those on a budget or who prefer more affordable options. Furthermore, I found the seating arrangement to be somewhat cramped and uncomfortable. The café appeared overcrowded, with little space between tables, making it challenging to move around comfortably. This situation was particularly true during peak hours when the café was packed with patrons, leading to a less than ideal experience. In contrast, I would like to commend the staff's attentiveness and friendliness. They were incredibly helpful, providing recommendations on menu items and ensuring that our orders arrived promptly. This level of service added to the overall charm of Café Resto l'Imprimerie and contributed to my positive experience. To sum up, while I appreciate the ambiance and coffee quality at Café Resto l'Imprimerie, I believe that the establishment needs to improve in certain areas. The Wi-Fi connectivity, pricing, and seating arrangement could use some tweaking to enhance the overall customer experience.

my heart skipped a beat as I caught sight of Le Régent Caen. It was recommended by my friend Elias Nichols, who is renowned for his exceptional taste in cafes. I couldn't resist the urge to pay this place a visit and experience its charm for myself. Le Régent Caen is nestled in a quaint corner of the city, adorned with vibrant flowers and cozy seating arrangements. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by an enchanting aroma that left me breathless. The decor was minimalistic yet elegant, exuding warmth and tranquility. I decided to try their signature beverage - the Reginald Royale. It was a delightful blend of coffee, chocolate, and cream, served with a dollop of whipped cream on top. I savored every sip, relishing in its rich flavor and velvety texture. The ambiance was just as captivating, as I watched couples chatting over steaming cups of hot tea, and students typing away on their laptops. I had originally planned to visit Le Régent Caen after exploring the stunning Abbaye aux Hommes, which is located in the heart of Caen. The journey from the abbey was a pleasant one, as I passed by picturesque gardens and colorful houses. It took me approximately 20 minutes to reach the cafe on foot. As for the news today, analyst Jefferies has lowered Starbucks' price target to $94, citing Q1 data. However, Deutsche Bank remains optimistic about the coffee giant, cutting its price target by $10 to a still-lofty $108 while maintaining a 'buy' rating. It seems that the future of Starbucks is still bright, despite some analysts' concerns. In conclusion, I highly recommend Le Régent Caen to anyone visiting Caen. Whether you're craving a delicious coffee or seeking a cozy place to unwind, this cafe will not disappoint. Its charm and ambiance are truly unparalleled, making it a hidden gem in the heart of Caen. As I bid farewell to Le Régent Caen and ventured back towards Abbaye aux Hommes, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this magical experience. It's moments like these that remind me why I love traveling - the discovery of hidden gems that leave an indelible mark on my soul.

I have had the pleasure of frequenting many cafes in the area. Among them all, there is one that has captured my heart and continues to draw me back time and time again - Café Mancel at Le Château Ducal - Musée des Beaux-Arts. Located in the heart of Caen's historic district, the café is nestled amidst a sea of stunning architecture. The surrounding streets are lined with half-timbered houses that date back to the Middle Ages, their intricate designs and vivid colors adding to the charm and character of this picturesque city. Upon entering Café Mancel, one is immediately struck by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The café's interior is warm and inviting, with plush armchairs and comfortable seating that invite patrons to linger for hours on end. Soft lighting and intimate corners create an air of intimacy and privacy, perfect for those seeking a quiet respite from the bustling city outside. But it isn't just the ambiance that keeps patrons coming back. The café's menu is equally impressive, offering a tantalizing array of artisanal pastries, freshly brewed coffee, and delectable sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients. The flavors are rich and full-bodied, each bite an explosion of flavor that leaves your taste buds dancing with delight. What sets Café Mancel apart from other cafes in the area is its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The café sources its ingredients from local farmers and suppliers, reducing the carbon footprint associated with transportation and preserving the region's agricultural heritage. Additionally, they have implemented eco-friendly initiatives such as recycling programs and biodegradable packaging materials, demonstrating a genuine concern for the environment and the community at large. As I sipped on my steaming hot latte and nibbled on a flaky croissant, I couldn't help but reflect on the news that had made headlines just hours prior - the sentencing of a European citizen to prison in Hong Kong for "demonizing China. In this age of globalization and interconnectedness, it is easy to forget the importance of preserving our cultural heritage and promoting social responsibility. Café Mancel serves as a beacon of hope in these troubled times, reminding us of the power of community and the importance of preserving our traditions for future generations. As I left the café, my heart filled with gratitude and appreciation, I couldn't help but feel a sense of reverence for this special place. Café Mancel isn't just a café - it is a symbol of the enduring spirit of Caen and the values that make this city such a unique and vibrant community. It is a place where tradition meets innovation, where sustainability and responsibility are not just buzzwords but guiding principles that shape every aspect of its operations. And for that, I will remain forever grateful.
